Barry Rebeck, M.D.


Dr. Barry Rebeck is originally from upstate NY. He graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Chemistry and Laboratory Sciences. He obtained his medical degree at Ross Medical College. After medical school he completed his adult psychiatry residency at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute/ University of Illinois Program. in Chicago and went on to complete a geropsychiatry fellowship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center/ Rush Medical College in Chicago.

He has worked in a variety of psychiatric settings, including private practice and academic centers, working for the Illinois Department of Mental Health as a Medical Director, and employed by various not for profit organizations.

He has extensive experience working with a wide variety of individuals having multiple psychiatric conditions in addition to patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). His treatment philosophy is based upon the premise that each individual requires an individualized form of treatment. He strives to help empower his clients as a means to utilize their strengths in order to achieve their own definition of recovery. He offers various treatment modalities such as medication for psychiatric conditions, promotion of evidence-based therapy, and working collaboratively with his patients and others important in the recovery process.

Dr. Rebeck has lived in Louisville, Kentucky since 2003.
