Dr. Monnica Williams supervises and trains therapists at the University of Louisville and at the Louisville OCD Clinic. She teaches cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT) and psychopathology to doctoral students and other clinicians. Thus she is very knowledgeable about the assessment and treatment of numerous mental health conditions. To that end she is always glad to provide consultation to psychologists and other mental health care providers on the treatment of OCD and related conditons. This can be particularly helpful when a therapist is mastering a new treatment, such as exposure and response prevention (ERP). Reading a treatment manual and attending a workshop can be an excellent introduction, however applying the techniques with actual clients often requires a more in-depth understanding of the condition and the nuances of treatment.
Consultation may be provided in person, by phone, videoconference or via group supervision. If you’d like to discuss the possibility of receiving consultation on a case, please contact our clinic by phone or by email to discuss scheduling and fees.
