Dr. Whitley Paden is a licensed clinical psychologist at Behavioral Wellness Clinic (BWC). She specializes in treating older teens and adults and provides supervision and training to psychology graduate students.

Dr. Whitley Paden is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Louisville OCD Clinic.  She specializes in treating older teens and adults and provides supervision and training to psychology graduate students. She has authority to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology through PSYPACT and can provide telehealth to individuals living in any of the PSYPACT states (Map of States)

Dr. Paden obtained her master’s degree and doctorate at Spalding University’s School of Professional Psychology. She completed her APA accredited predoctoral internship at Robley Rex VAMC in Louisville, KY where she received training in treating PTSD and substance use disorders. Dr. Paden completed her post-doctoral training at the Behavioral Wellness Clinic where she received training and supervision for the treatment of eating disorders and OCD.

Dr. Paden specializes in treating PTSD, addiction, eating disorders, OCD, anxiety and mood disorders, and anger management problems. She is trained in providing evidence-based treatment including, but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for eating disorders (CBT-E),  Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Relapse Prevention Therapy (RPT), Cognitive Behavioral Coping Skills Therapy (CBST), Seeking Safety, and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Furthermore, she is a Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) certified provider, an evidence-based treatment for PTSD (Provider Roster). 

Dr. Paden believes in providing a safe, non-judgmental stance in the therapy room. As she recognizes it is important to provide genuine warmth and caring to all clients in order to promote their own self-compassion, acceptance, and growth. “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change” – Carl Rogers.
 
Dr. Paden enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, reading classic novels, and hiking with her family.
